Lucknow: On the auspicious occasion of Independence Day, the Viram Khand-5 Jan Kalyan Samiti celebrated the 80th Independence Day at Vasant Park with great enthusiasm, dignity, and patriotic fervour. The programme commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Committee President, Dr. Bharat Raj Singh. All members and residents present saluted the National Flag while singing the National Anthem.
On the occasion, Committee President Dr. Bharat Raj Singh paid heartfelt tributes to the brave freedom fighters and immortal martyrs of the nation. He said that Independence Day is not merely an occasion for celebration, but also a day to remember our duties and responsibilities towards the nation and to renew our resolve towards nation-building. He called upon citizens to actively contribute to mutual harmony, social unity, cleanliness, environmental protection, and the overall development of the locality.
During the programme, Rakesh Jaitely, Arvind Trivedi, Dr. R.P. Sharma, Dhananjay Monghe, Praveen Mishra, and Manoj Sharma, among other members, expressed their views. The speakers reaffirmed their commitment to protecting the unity, integrity, and sovereignty of the nation and to making an active contribution to the development of society and the country. The entire atmosphere reflected a strong spirit of patriotism, national pride, and social solidarity.
